4-day live painting for Collective Arts Brewery
An Honest Farewell event
February 23-26, 2017
Toronto (T.dot / the Six / We The North)
Commissioned by Collective Arts Brewery, I had the pleasure to be one of the artists at An Honest Farewell - a historical event for Toronto. Over 20,000 attendees came together to pay homage and say goodbye to the iconic landmark of Honest Ed’s in the course of 4 days. As described by the organizers (CSI), "Toronto’s best artists, performers and business owners were brought together to create an impactful experience” whereby the massive 160,000-square-foot space was transformed into an immersive art maze of interdisciplinary exhibitions with media coverage ranging from CBC, Toronto Star, CP24 to CityNews.
Each of my large-scale paintings was made on a 8 x 4 ft canvas with acrylic marker, acrylic paint, and ink. The artworks were shipped by Collective Arts to Hamilton to be displayed in their brewery.
